heather williams-baumgart      A visual artist from a young age, Heather Williams-Baumgart was drawing the world around her long before she could speak. Strongly encouraged to express herself creatively, she began learning the basics of painting from her artist father. She continued exploring her own visual voice by studying Fine Arts at the LA County High School for the Arts and at the California Institute of the Arts. Through the discovery of old photos of her grandmother in beautifully elegant attire, a deep personal admiration and appreciation of style, fit, and proportion grew within her. Her background in art merged with fashion.

To feed her intense love of style, she continued her education and studied Fashion Design, with a major in Intimate Apparel at Polimoda in Florence, Italy, and FIT in New York City. While in NYC, she started her design career with an internship at DKNY Underwear. Immediately following her education she began working as a clothing concept designer for Shirley Manson of Garbage and Christina Aguilera amongst many others. Over the last decade, she has continued to work with many of the industries most colorful and creative people in a variety of capacities; which include: being a fashion and celebrity stylist, concept designer and illustrator, fashion editor, and wardrobe stylist for commercials, TV shows, magazines, music videos, and music production tours.

Over the years, Heather has formed a deep interest in the psychology of clothing, and how it can be used as a powerful tool to alter how we feel about ourselves as individuals, as well as how we treat the rest of the world.

As the current Fashion Editor of 4 years for Girls Life Magazine, Heather has focused on putting out a positive influence for young women by showing that great style has everything to do with personal acceptance and celebration, and nothing to do with a specific price point.

She continues to push herself daily by working on many different projects.
